Important Guidelines

◼︎Noise Etiquette

Please avoid excessive noise.
After 10:00 PM, close windows to reduce noise and enjoy your stay quietly indoors.

◼︎Appropriate Clothing

Yamanakako is cooler than urban areas due to its higher elevation.
Bring warm clothing, especially if you plan to enjoy BBQ outside.
There is no heater on the BBQ terrace.
👉 Check the local weather [here].

◼︎Preventing Frozen Pipes (Winter Only)

To prevent pipes from freezing:
Keep kitchen, bathroom, and washbasin taps set to the hot water position, allowing water to flow in a thin stream (but not enough to activate the water heater).

◼︎Fire Restrictions

Guests are strictly prohibited from starting their own fires, whether using a fire pit or directly on the ground.

◼︎Fireworks

Only handheld fireworks are allowed.
Please enjoy them on gravel surfaces, away from other guests, and finish by 9:00 PM.

Launch-type, fountain-type, or loud fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Do NOT use fireworks on or near the wooden deck or lawn, as they pose a fire hazard.

When a campfire is held, you may dispose of used fireworks in the fire (once extinguished).

◼︎Smoking

Smoking is not allowed indoors, including heated tobacco products.

Outdoor smoking is permitted, but please bring a portable ashtray.

◼︎Barbecue

After BBQ, do not pour water on burning charcoal. Let it burn out naturally.

Do not burn anything other than charcoal (e.g., paper, branches, leaves).

Do not leave leftover food outside – it may attract insects or wild animals.

BBQs are best enjoyed before sunset due to increased insect activity at night.

We spray insect repellent on the BBQ terrace before your arrival. If you’d like additional spray applied, feel free to ask our staff.

◼︎After Using Dishes

Please wash any dishes you use and place them in the drying rack provided.

◼︎Trash Disposal

Please separate your trash according to the labels on the bins.

Cans: Empty all contents before disposal.
Do not dispose of cigarette ashes or butts in the can bin.

Glass Bottles: Remove caps and rinse thoroughly before disposing.
If a bottle breaks, please place the glass in a separate bag and store it safely.

Plastic Bottles (PET Bottles): Rinse and separate the cap and label into “Other Waste.”
Bottles for oil, detergent, sauces, etc., also go into “Other Waste.”

Cardboard: Do not place in a bag. Please flatten and stack it neatly inside the room.

Other Waste: All other general waste (e.g., burnable, plastic packaging, and items not categorized as recyclable) should be disposed of in the “Other Waste” bin.

Spare garbage bags are stored beside the cutlery drawer in the kitchen.
If you need more, please contact the staff.

◼︎Additional Notes

Footwear on the Wood Deck (BBQ Terrace)
Please use the provided sandals or your own shoes when stepping out onto the wood deck.
Do not use indoor slippers outdoors.

Sunken Kotatsu-style Sofa Area
There is a power outlet under the sofa seating area.
Feel free to plug in the provided IH (induction) cooker and enjoy a hot pot meal with your group.
